"Welcome to Winter" Bread Sale

This is a bread sale to welcome everyone to the winter season, welcome to hearty soups that pair perfectly with a slice of fresh crusty sourdough bread. I wasn't planning on hosting this sale because I had plans to be out of town around this time, but things cleared up, leaving a small window to put out the word, take orders, and bake, bake, bake!

During this bread sale, only regular sourdough bread will be available for purchase, but more varieties will be included in my next sale in a few weeks. Regular loaves are $5 each. Visit the "Bread Orders" tab to fill out the form letting me know how many loaves you would like and when you want pick up or delivery.

While this bread sale falls right before Thanksgiving, it is important for me to acknowledge that it isn't to celebrate what many have been taught about this holiday growing up. It is a fact that the mythical feast we were told about was not an amicable exchange between native peoples and the colonist invaders. It is important to recognize that the ground we have built our houses on was stolen from the Abenaki people, and other indigenous nations across what is now called America. Though the land was stolen, that didn't make it a done deal, and indigenous peoples across the country are still fighting for their land, while often times also battling poverty, suicide, sexual violence, etc. Native Americans are invaluable to bettering our local, national, and global societies. For example, they provide unique insights on environmental conservation because of the respect and understanding many hold for the land.
